What We Do

Bike Shop Contract Mechanic
We will come to your store and carry out contract mechanic work in your workshop. This can be extremely helpful if you need an experienced, friendly and productive mechanic for contract work. Alternatively, support can be provided with repairs and service (e.g. suspension, wheel building etc) picked up and taken away to the MTB Mechanic workshop and returned when fixed.
This can be extremely helpful for covering staff leave periods or extra workloads.

Event Support
We can provide mechanical support if you have a bike event and require a experienced, friendly and professional bike mechanic to provide service for your riders. MTB Mechanic have a fully mobile workshop and have helped at several major cycling events in South East Queensland, including the Epic and 24hr races.
Remote support at checkpoints can also be provided. MTB Mechanic also holds first aid qualifications and can provide rider support in emergencies.
Please call to book in advance.

Bespoke Services
We service all types of bike but specialise in MTB suspension, wheels and drivetrain.
We can arrange a date and time to pick the bike up and carry out the service and then return it to you when finished. Our workshop is well fitted out and no job is too hard. We ride bikes and we know that being without the bike for long periods can be very frustrating so we work hard to do the work as quickly as possible and return the bike to your door.
Our service pricing is very competitive because we do not sell new bikes which means we don't owe much money to banks! Please contact us for a quote and we'll let you know how long the job will take.
MTB Mechanic can assist riders to fit parts which have been purchased online or from retail outlets. All riders like to shop around to find the best deal and often excellent discounts and sales are found online. Some riders then find that after buying the bargain of the decade it can be hard to assemble and tune the new part onto the bike. This can be quite complex, for example with drivetrain, bearings, wheel building, brakes, suspension etc. MTB Mechanic have helped many riders to fit parts which they have purchased online.
